About Svilupparty

Promoted by the Italian Party of Indie Developers Association (IPID) and the Videogame Archive at the Cineteca di Bologna, Svilupparty is an annual event aimed at celebrating the work of Italian videogame developers. Launched in 2010 in Bologna (Italy), Svilupparty is a three-day convention that offers representatives of videogame companies, independent developers, and videogame enthusiasts an opportunity to meet, discuss their projects and present them to their colleagues and audience.

The increasing success of each new Svilupparty edition has led to the establishment of the Svilupparty Association in late 2014, renamed Italian Party of Indie Developers (IPID)  in 2017.

IPID is a non-party, non-profit organization of individual videogame developers, both professionals and amateurs, aimed at fostering the promotion of Italian videogame productions in terms of both quality and quantity. To pursue this goal, the Association maintains a developer network established to share projects, knowledge and experience; promotes educational projects and publishing/distribution programs for its members’ products; and guarantees a new Svilupparty edition in Bologna every year. The IPID membership program funds the Association’s activities and each Svilupparty edition. By joining IPID, you will not only contribute to the actual organization of the event, but also share and endorse the Association’s goals: promoting the work of Italian videogame developers, enhancing their exposure, and providing them with a place to meet and share their experience.
